J.G. Thirlwell - sound artist Long based in Brooklyn, NYC, J.G.Thirlwell has made many influential recordings and toured under the name Foetus and variations thereof. In over a dozen albums he has ranged from meticulously organized chaos to blistering big band and orchestral pastiche, electronic beats and even crunching rock. Under the name Steroid Maximus, Thirlwell's cinematic stylings encompass haunting soundscapes, twisted neo-blaxploitation, spy/crime noir intrigue and ethnic music from civilizations yet to be conceived. He recently led an 18-piece band as Steroid Maximus for UCLA¹s 2003 season as well as in France and Holland. J.G.T. also has an electronic trio project, Baby Zizanie,which has toured Europe extensively. He also has recently released two haunting, psychologically disturbed cinematic albums under the name Manorexia through his website.He has also worked as DJ Otefsu,Clint Ruin and Wiseblood,among other names.
