Nemo was born in the cosmopolitan city of Miami, Fl. It is a town brightly colored with flowers and a multiplicity of ethnicities from the West Indies and South America. When we entered into High School he was told that he had no future in art so he embarked on a education to become an international negotiator. He studied ancient Christian history at Harvard Divinity School and a full course of study at Oberlin college giving him degrees in Politics, Religion and East Asian Studies. He worked for a time in Washington, DC at various progressive agencies until he felt there was no desire for change and his time was being wasted. He retreated to the mountains of Colorado where he was finally able to relax. There he began to have visions of spirit and art which started him on his artistic path. Inspired to continue to create art by a class taught by Alex Grey and encouraged by the praise of Jim Woodring, he felt confident to begin to live and work as an artist spewing his intuitive visions up
